The timeline of GMT Systems

The journey for GMT Systems started back in 1989, and we've come a long way, developing to offer a huge range of services to support the IT needs for all types of businesses.

1989

The GMT journey begins

GMT Systems started its life as a hardware provider to Liverpool based businesses, by founders Graham, Martin & Tim.

2000

The team move to Skelmersdale

The team moved over to Skelmersdale! Just a couple of minutes from the M6, we're in an ideal place to reach clients nationwide.

2005

GMT achieve "Sage Solution Centre"

We achieved Sage Solution Centre, the highest accolade Sage offered at the time! We were extremely proud of our achievements in becoming fully Line 100 accredited and it's something we continue to complete every year, for Sage 200c.

2011

We won the Circle of Excellence Award Scheme

GMT Systems entered Sage's Circle of Excellence Award Scheme and won, an amazing achievement when comparing the size of our competitors; our high scores from our customers helped us to stand out. The team visited Blenheim Palace to collect the award!

2014

GMT Systems expands services with Cyber Security

With a brand new tech team joining GMT, we focused on the increasingly important topic of cybersecurity, offering a host of new services to clients using the internet and emails in their everyday working lives.

2019

Accreditations & Partnerships

The team took time to become Cyber Essentials certified, demonstrating our commitment to our client's security. Additionally, we became a Sophos Synchronized Solution Partner, achieving Gold status!

2020

GMT becomes Sage 200 Standard accredited

GMT became Sage 200 Standard accredited, which enabled the team to offer the Sage cloud based option to customers nationwide.

2022

The team move to Burscough

The team moved to Burscough, seeking a modern, technology-based business park, built to support our online focus. Just a short drive from various motorways, Liverpool and Manchester, as well as the west coast, our new base of operations allows us to effectively work with our clients.
